Our Wedding
Dave and I married when we were 28 and 29. Because we were older than most of our friends when we got married, we feel like it has given us a lot more perspective and gratitude to be married. We often say, "Well, at least we don't have to do it alone" because we were alone for all those years.
We worked extra hard to make sure our wedding day was as stress-free as possible. Because I was older, I also had been to SO MANY weddings and I took lots of mental notes for "do's and don'ts." We wanted our wedding to be a PARTY, to celebrate the miracle of us coming together. And that is exactly what our day was! I did not stress out once. We laughed and socialized and took goofy pictures and danced the night away! At the end of the day, I collapsed on the floor with a smile on my face, and said to Dave, "That was the most fun I have EVER had in one day!" It was amazing! I waited my whole life to marry someone as terrific as Dave, and he was worth the wait! Our wedding day was magical.
